While a traditional hot plate will heat the plate itself which not only can waste a lot of energy it can also result in the food not being kept as warm.
As well as there being no open flames the induction food warmer will also automatically shut off when the food pan is removed. Not only does this keep your running costs down it will also reduce the wear and tear on the internal components.
